Brovad Sands Lodge  in Kalangala that was gutted by fire on 28th March 2022 has re-emerged from the ashes bigger and better.  A dreadful disaster that no hotelier could imagine at such a time,  struck immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic , which left this blissful jewel on the beaches of Kalangala in disolate state.

However, thanks be to God and the persverance of the youthful Owner, budding Hotelier & Entrepreneur , Mr. Rashid Kiyimba who has successfully steered the reconstruction , redesign and re-emergence of Brovad Sands Lodge from the ashes to an architectural marvel on the Ssese Islands.

The New Brovad Sands Lodge has reopened to the public with a brand new look that boasts of a new Restaurant and Reception building, an

architectural master piece that’s the first of the kind in East Africa. The new look mirrors a combination of Moroccan and ancient swahili style architecture that is designed to give guests a warm, tranquil and relaxing atmosphere as they enjoy their vacation in the Ssese lsands.

The resurgence of Brovad Sands Lodge also comes with the unveiling of a new 12  room storeyed block. The new deluxe rooms have a combination of both a euro- centric and afro-centric design like no other. Visitors can brace themselves for  very spacious guest rooms with private balcony, ensuite , coffee/tea maker and 32 inch screen in each room. This brings the total number of guest rooms at the Brovad Sands Lodge to 65.

Finally, the first-ever infinity swimming pool in the Ssese islands has been unveiled and opened to the public at the Brovad Sands Lodge. Set adjacent to the new restaurant building , the new infinity pool overlooks the stretch of white sand beach and the ever calm Lake Victoria waters. A perfect vantage point to catch the evening sunset as you sip away to your favourite cocktail at the Brovad pool bar.
