The Managing Director at Eyalama Adventures, Mr. Eddy Kirya was recently awarded the prestigious Presidential  Diamond Jubilee medal of Honor bestowed to him by His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda.

The awarded recognizes Mr. Kirya’s contribution to the growth and Promotion of Uganda Tourism over the years. Mr. Eddy kirya who served as Board Member at the Uganda Tourism Board ( UTB)  from the period starting 2017 to 2023 was instrumental in developing Uganda’s destination Brand Explore Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, as Chairperson of the marketing committee of the Board. Eddy is also credited for the promotion and implementation of Good governance best practices at the Board.

While accepting this award, the Eyalama Adventures, MD was grateful to the Almighty God for the 23 years of service in Uganda Tourism sector , having started out from  humble beginnings as restaurant waiter in 2001 to eventually being appointed Director/Board Member  at the National Tourism Board ( UTB) and Managing Director of one of  Uganda’s Tourism firms.

At Eyalama Adventures, We are proud of Mr. Eddy Kirya’s milestone and presidential recognition at the highest level in Uganda and this testifies to his commitment and patriotic character as true citizen of Uganda.
